Apatite is a calcium phosphate mineral that is found primarily in Russia but also in Brazil, Burma, Madagascar and Mexico. It is usually seen in shades of blue and green but also comes in yellow, brown and grey. From time to time, a specimen of apatite is clean enough that it can be facetted into a gemstone that can be used in jewellery. However, apatite is extremely soft making it easily scratched and damaged when used for this purpose.
Apatite is said to be a fabulous stone for manifestation work due to its ability to encourage future planning and vision. It can help you visualise your goals and motivate you to work towards achieving them. It is also a wonderful stone for unlocking your creativity and as such is a great stone for artists.
